Account Executive - Managed Services
Location: East Coast
PRIMARY FUNCTION
The account executive will establish and manage sales accounts for prospective and new customers. This role is also responsible for selling our full line of Managed Services offerings to our customers. This position calls for a dynamic and tenacious individual focused on acquiring new customers and closing business. This is not an “order taking” position.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and manage relationships with C-level executives and customers through prospecting and networking to accomplish sales objectives
- Responsible for meeting or exceeding sales quotas in new business each quarter
- Conduct cold calls and face-to-face meetings with business prospects
- Create proposals and conduct presentations
- Articulate solutions and service offerings
- Establish and cultivate relationships with networking partners
- Must be a team player
- Additional job goals and duties will be assigned from time to time as part of the regular performance appraisal process
- Set and manage customer expectations throughout the lifecycle of the account
- Maintain the highest levels of personal and professional behavior in the work place
- Ensure and maintain minimum closing and developing pipeline funnel goals are met or exceeded
- Generate $3 of qualified pipeline opportunity for every $1 dollar of quota
- Update and manage account and prospect data in the CTI SalesForce.com CRM tool and provide weekly feedback on prospects and opportunities
- Close 15-18 net new deals annually
- Develop account plans and profiles for all existing and targeted customers
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- Solutions Selling experience
- Bachelor Degree preferred
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Demonstrated ability to meet sales goals
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Communicate effectively with peers, superiors and other CTI personnel
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and contact management software
- Proficient use of internet for communication and research
- Demonstrated success in applying consultative selling techniques to opportunities
- Able to effectively coordinate with presales and post sales resources to achieve goals and objectives
Desired Knowledge and Skills
- Previous experience with/advanced knowledge of services similar to CTI's suite of managed services:
- Managed Hosting and Bandwidth
- Data Protection Services (remote back up/replication)
- Remote server, storage and network device monitoring and management
- Managed Security
- DR and Business Continuity
- Existing industry relationships
- Industry knowledge in the following verticals:
- E-Business/Software as a Service
- Financial Services
- Media and Entertainment
- Retail
- Legal
- Healthcare
- Existing C-level contacts in assigned territory market a significant plus
Physical Requirements
