(April 29, 2008) SALT LAKE CITY – Consonus Technologies Inc., a leading data center and IT managed services provider, held a grand opening event for its newest Salt Lake-area proprietary data center on Tuesday, April 22. Gathering on location at the newly completed high-security facility, customers and representatives of several local technology and commerce associations joined Consonus for a ribbon cutting ceremony and tours of the new facility. On-hand to deliver remarks was special guest Jason P. Perry from the Governor’s Office of Economic Development.
Consonus’ newest facility is located in West Valley City, Utah, and will offer multiple structural, environmental and technological systems designed to protect the extensive computing equipment and data it will support. Each of the Consonus facilities features high-security amenities and redundant power, cooling and telecommunications systems specially designed to mitigate service interruption in the event of a disaster, whether natural or man-made.
“Consonus has been doing business in the Salt Lake area for almost ten years, and the addition of this new facility is another major milestone in their growth,” said Perry. “Our state benefits in many ways from their business and their strategic partnerships within the community, and we are thrilled to share in this celebration and wish them continued success in the future.”
Also present were members of the Consonus executive team, including CEO Mike Shook, COO John Roger, CFO Rob Muir, and Daniel Milburn, Senior Vice President, COO of Hosting and Infrastructure Services.
