Consonus' Vogt completes ITIL v3 Certification
CARY, NC - September 30, 2008 - Consonus Technologies now has an ITIL® v3 Expert-certified consultant on staff, one of a small number in North America. Mike Vogt, Principal Consultant for Consonus' Consulting and Advisory Services team, completed the ITIL v3 Expert Certificate training course in August, adding a level of expertise invaluable to organizations seeking to enhance their IT service management processes.
The Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) is the most widely deployed IT best practice framework, having evolved from a recommended best practice to a global industry standard for aligning IT services with business requirements.
A national data center and IT managed services provider based in Cary, N.C., Consonus has more than a decade of combined ITIL service management process design and implementation experience. The company offers a variety of ITIL-related services including consulting, assessments, and education.
This new certification equips Consonus' consulting and delivery teams with a unique and in-depth understanding of the ITIL framework, a strategic advantage within the growing IT infrastructure solutions industry.
According to Pink Elephant, the only path to v3 Expert certification available today is restricted to existing v2 Service Managers, of which there are less than 1,000 in North America, few of whom have completed the v3 Bridge course to date.
"We are now better equipped to pursue those opportunities where customers are looking for v3 assistance," says Consonus CEO Mike Shook.
